About the Faculty
The Faculty of Philosophy, Ethics and Human Thought examines the rational and normative foundations underlying every other Faculty at CYTOG. Where the Faculty of Human Formation studies the shaping of the person directly, this Faculty studies the frameworks of reason, argument, value, and knowledge that make disciplined thought about formation possible in the first place.
Its eight Departments range from the core discipline of Philosophy itself through Ethics, Logic, and Epistemology, into more specialized inquiry: the cultivation of practical wisdom, the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of science, and the philosophical study of civilization itself.
